Introduction

The Ram River Devonian Project covers an 84 township area within Twp. 35-40, Rge. 4-17W5, in the western Plains and Foothills of Alberta. It outlines the basic Devonian stratigraphic and lithologic framework of the area, which includes the Caroline Swan Hills play and the Medicine River, Strachan and Ricinus West Leduc-Nisku plays. There is potential for further discoveries of gas, condensate, and sulphur within the Devonian of the area.

The study consists of a text, photographs of representative lithologies, core and sample descriptions from 69 wells, nine maps, and seven cross-sections. A prospect map suggests several areas of interest for further exploration.
