Geoscience BC has just released the Central Interior BC Carbon Storage Assessment project, researched and written by Petrel Robertson Consulting Ltd. and Foresight Canada.

Resource-rich areas like central BC have CO2 emissions from forestry, pipeline, refinery and potentially hydrogen manufacturing projects. We identified limited potential to sequester CO2 in the region, with recommendations for further work to better evaluate and develop this potential.

Carbon Capture and Storage can be a significant contributor to emissions reduction on a global basis – one area and one project at a time.
